ASLEEP IN A BOG

With her shoes, stockings and outer garments beside her, Mary White, a girl on a farm near Cabrach, Banffshire, was found fast asleep in a peat bog lately. There had been an all-night search for her. The girl lost her way home in a dense fog, and apparently, becoming exhausted in an effort to find the road out of the morass, had undressed and lain down near one of the deepest ditches. Despite the exposure on a bitterly cold night on the open moorland, she quickly recovered, and was able to walk with assistance to her home.
