AMERICAN FISCAL YEAR
SURPLUS OF 405,000,000 DOLLARS. (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Washington, June 28. Mr A. W. Mellon, Secretary of the •Treasury, indicated that the Treasury surplus for the fiscal year ending June 30 would be about as estimated or 405,000.000 dollars with a possibility that the excess receipts over expenditures might go a little beyond that amount. Debt reduction for the year will approximate 1.000,000,000 dollars.—Australian Press Association.
