MARINE ENQUIRY

WRECK OF TRAWLER. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, June 29. A marine inquiry into the wreck of the trawler Thomas Bryce which went ashore near Cape Colville on the Coromandel Peninsula on June 10 while en route from Bay of Plenty to Auckland was conducted by Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., who had with him as assessors, Captain Huntly Dryden and Captain William Edward Wahlstrom. The question at issue was whether the wreck was due to any error of judgment on the part of the master or officers of the vessel and whether the principles of good seamanship had been observed. The Court reserved its decision.
