FLAG COMEDY
UNION JACK ON TOP. Cape Town, June 1. When the National flag and the Union Jack were being hoisted at Bloemfontein on “Flag Day” the rope carrying the National flag broke, and it was impossible to hoist the flag. A fire ladder was brought, but it collapsed, and the flag was only hoisted at last by a man climbing the pole. Meanwhile the Union Jack was floating gloriously in the breeze.—Sun Special.
