MOTOR CAR’S DIVE
IMMERSED IN RIVER.
ESCAPE OF PASSENGERS. Sydney, June 27. A motor car containing four men and one woman dived into the Parramatta River at midnight. The men extricated themselves from the enclosed hood and swam to safety. Two divested themselves of their clothes and swam back, dived, and dragged out Mrs Selle, of Eastwood, who was nearly drowned. She was resuscitated. —Australian Press Association. WOMAN DIES OF SHOCK. (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) Sydney, June 27. Mrs Elizabeth Selle laler died of shock. She was the wife of the Registrar of Sydney University.—Australian Press Association.
