TE RANGI CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Te Rangi Bowling Club held in the pavilion last evening Mr W. Crawford presided over a good attendance of members. Before the ordinary business was proceeded with, members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect to the late Mr W. T. McKenzie. The annual report (already published) and balance sheet were adopted members referring to the good work of the club officials during the past year. PRESENTATION OP TROPHIES. The presentation of trophies was then proceeded with, the following being the prize-winners: Championship doubles (1927) Messrs J. Peterson and T. Pryde; runners-up, Messrs J. Cunningham and A. Anderson; championship singles (1928), M. J. Cunningham; runner-up, Mr T. Pryde; championship doubles (1928), Messrs J. Soar and W. Crawford; runnersup, Mr A. H. Stott and R. Roscoe. ELECTION OF OFFICE-BEARERS. The following office-bearers were appointed for the coming year:—President, Mr G. C. Batcheler; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Walker and J. Soar; secretary, Mr J. Cunningham; treasurer, Mr A. S. Froggatt; green rangers, Messrs P. Y. Milne and J. Forrest; delegates to the centre, Messrs G. C. Batcheler and A. H. Stott; auditor, Mr W. N. Stirling; selector Mr A. H. Stott; committee, Messrs T. Pryde, G. E. Glenn and J. Waugh. Several new members were elected. The following were appointed as a billiards committee: —Messrs J. Waugh (con venor), N. McKenzie, M. McKenzie, R. G. Hallamore, R. G. Smithies, D. F. Kelly and T. J. Jackson. Before vacating the chair to his successor, the retiring chairman (Mr W. Crawford) thanked the members for their co-operation during the past year, referring in particular to ihe valuable assistance of the committee at all times. Mr Batchelor in addressing the gathering referred to the good work carried out by Mr Crawford during his term of office and stated that he would do all in his power to further the interests of the club. On the mption of Mr Pryde it was recommended to the incoming executive that it take into consideration the laying off of croquet lawns and tennis courts on the Eeastern reserve, the motion being adopted. Members expressed their appreciation of the scheme, stressing the desirability of beautifying and making use of the reserve.
