A SEAMAN’S THEFTS.

(Per United Preee Aeeociatlon.) Wellington, June 26, A detective walking along Taranaki street last night saw a man take the radiator cap from an unattended motor. Be accosted him and found in his possession three motor metres and five radiator caps. The man, William Morrison, a seaman on the Canadian Challenger, to-day pleaded guilty. In reply to the Magistrate, the Chief Detective said Morrison would get a market for the articles. They were hard to identify and the police had lota of com plaints. A fine of £5 was imposed, in d* fault a month’s detention. Accused was ordered to be placed aboard his ship if she sailed before the fine was paid.
