MINING IN AFRICA
THE MOZAMBIQUE AGREEMENT.
Cape Town, June 25.
Mr Eddas, president of the Chamber of Mines, in his annual speech severely criticized the Mozambique agreement whereby natives recruited were reduced by 30,000 annually. He said it was clear that unless a source was discovered elsewhere to fill gaps the position of the mines would become extremely serious.—Australian Press Association.
