RESULT OF RECENT BALLOT. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 25. The New Zealand Engine-drivers, Firemen and Cleaners’ Association recently held a ballot on two questions whether the president should be elected by members or by the Grand Council, and whether there should be a Dominion Executive or local Wellington Executive. The result of the voting was as follows: In favour of a Dominion Executive 1,122. In favour of a local executive 444. In favour of the election of president by all financial members 1,185. In favour of the president being elected by and from the Grand Council 377.
