MR. DENHAM’S LETTERS.

To the Editor. Sir, —I am amazed to think that there is any one in the Labour movement whose reasoning faculties led him to interpret the rules of the L.R.C. as apparently your correspondent “Labour” has done. What bearing my letters have on any selection ballot where I am concerned I am at a loss to know. Where has my comrade lived or has he just recently began to read the newspapers? I have been writing and talking on the subject matter of the letters he refers to for the past six years.—l am, etc., W. C. DENHAM.

To the Editor.

Sir, —I always think Mr W. C. Denham’s letters are worth reading. I have never voted for Labour before, but I intend to next election. Mr Denham’s reasoning is good and his facts are convincing. There is not the slightest doubt about the banks rolling in money. Furthermore there is no doubt that the overdraft rate was increased and it seemed to me very unjustifiable. I do not grasp the meaning of your footnote, —I am, etc., CONSTANT READER

To the Editor.

Sir, —Will you allow me to say how gratifying it is to the public generally to note the fine spirit of fairness in your footnote regarding Mr Denham and one signing himself “Labour.” Judging from the fact that Mr Denham is also for Labour one can only assume there is some personal spleen that prompts “Labour” to step out of his way to throw discredit on Mr Denham’s constructive abilities at a venture so to speak. Though not a Labourite, I have long known of Mr Denham as a man of many intellectual parts. In conclusion it is quite possible it may not have suited Mr Denham to have fired all his big guns in his address to his Bluff audience or it is possible “Labour” may not have the ability to grasp the full significance of Mr Denham’s utter, ances, as “Labour’s” letter discloses more animus than ability.—l am, etc., GRANDPA.
