EMPIRE CHAIN COMPLETED.
Sydney, June 16. The beam wireless between Australia and Canada was officially opened at midnight, thus completing the Empire chain. The opinion is expressed that it will bring America and Australia in closer touch. The Governor-General, Lord Stonehaven, exchanged congratulations with Viscount Willingdon and the Canadian authorities.— Australian Press Association.
