INVERCARGILL GUN CLUB
YESTERDAY’S SHOOT. The usual monthly meeting of the above club was held yesterday and attracted a fair number from Tautapere, Wendon Valley and places close at hand. The day was against good shooting on account of the poor light. The following are the detailed results. SEVEN PIGEONS. T. J. Henderson, Tuatapere (24yds) .. 7 W. J. Harris Jnr. Invercargill (22yds) 7 W. Weavers, Tuatapere (24yds) .. .. 6 A. L. Wescombe, Wendon Valley (23yds) 6 Henderson and Harris agreed to divide the prize money and shoot off for the leather gun case. This was eventually won by Henderson on the fifth bird. WESTERN FIELD CUP 7th Round. 15 Clays. G. J. Scott, Invercargill (13yds) .... 13 A. L. Wescombe, Wendon Valley (15 yds) 13 W. J. Harris Sent., Invercargill (17yds) 11 Messrs Scott and Wescombe agreed to divide the stake and shoot on to decide the cup. Scott won on the third round. CLAY BIRD SWEEP. 12 Clays. T. J. Henderson, Tuatapere (14yds) .. 11 W. Weavers, Tuatapere (17yds) .... 10 G. J. Scott. Invercargill (15yds) .... 10 In the shoot off for second money Weavers prevailed winning second money on the fourth bird. FIRST MISS OUT. No. 1. T. J. Henderson, Tautapere (16yds) .. 1 FIRST MISS OUT No. 2. T. J. Henderson, Tuatapere (17yds) and A. L. Wescombe, Wendon Vallfcy (14yds) divided the prize money. BOX SWEEP. 5 Clays. T. J. Henderson (22yds) 5 FIRST MISS OUT No. 3. G. J. Scott, Invercargill (15yds) and A. L. Wescombe, Wendon Valley (14yds) divided the prize money.
