A PROTEST

TUBERCULOSIS COMMISSION. WAIPIATA COMMITTEE DISPLEASED. With reference to the committee appointed by the Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young) to investigate and import on certain aspects connected with the treatment of tuberculosis in the Dominion, the Waipiata Sanatorium Committee at its monthly meeting held on Tuesday evening unanimously adopted the following resolution, which the secretary was directed to forward to the Honourable the Minister of Health: — “That while not in any way reflecting on the professional abilities of the men appointed to the Tuberculosis Commission, this committee deplores the fact that medical men of proved tuberculosis and sanatorium experience have not been included, and further, is of the opinion that the commission should be allowed a free hand in its deliberations without the attendance at its inquiries of the DirectorGeneral of Health.”
