OPPOSITION TO PROPOSED NEW UNION. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, May 29. The following resolutions in regard to the suggested formation of a train-running union were carried unanimously at a meeting of the Palmerston North Guards’ Club: (1) This club deprecates the move to form a train-running union, and absolutely refuses to recognise or consider the proposals; (2) that further, this club reaffirms its loyalty to the A.S.R.S. and calls on all members to strenuously oppose any movement likely to disintegrate its organization.
