SABBATH OBSERVANCE

To the Editor. Sir, —I repeat that God never has had more than one law as man’s standard of conduct and the ultimate penalty for the violation of that law ever remains the same viz., death. Rom. 6: 23. That law, being perfect, requires no alteration or adjustment. God in His wisdom has used different ministrations or methods to teach men in their various stages of enlightenment, how to attain td the standard. It was not the law that was adjusted to fit man’s failure, but the methods of presenting instruction as to how pardon could be administered for its violation, thus enabling the sinner to be justified by faith. I still submit that all arbitrary divisions concerning alloted periods, wherein God has held different .standards of requirement for man’s conduct, are purely human inventions without. Scriptural foundation. The three texts presented by Mr Sampson certainly do not provide the needed proof. —I am, etc., J. PASCOE.
