BROWN COAL
LIQUIFICATION EXPERIMENTS. (Rec. 9.4 p.m.) Berlin, May 25. It was announced at the annual meeting of the German Dyestuffs Corporation that the liquification of brown coal exceeded the most sanguine expectations and 100,000 tons of petrol will have been produced by the end of the year. It is expected that this total will be doubled in 1929. The corporation is now concentrating on the application of similar methods to hard coal.— Australian Press Association.
