FARMERS’ GREATEST BURDEN. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, May 23. “The company tax is one of the greatest burdens put on the farmers,” said a delegate at the Provincial Conference of the Farmers’ Union this morning when the conference rejected a remit asking the stock auctioneering companies to reduce their commission rates, the directors of the companies indicating their difficulties, particularly in reference to the company tax.
