COTTON SPINNERS

LOCK-OUT PROPOSAL DEFEATED. (Rec. 8.10 p.m.) London, May 23. A ballot of members of the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners’ Associations on the question of endorsing a reduction of wages by 12j per cent, by a lock-out if necessary failed to give the requisite majority of 80 per cent.
