QUESTION OF CONTROL*. London, May 15. After a statement that negotiations were afoot to hand over the beam system to private concerns the Post Office controlling officers’ conference passed a resolution that this was opposed to national interests. Mr Barrow, of Bristol, declared that big business was jealously eyeing the beam system which was now payable. He believed newspaper attacks on the system were made to create opposition to State ownership.—Australian Press Association.
