The Auckland Power Board accepted a tender of £73,360 for the erection of an eight-storey building in Queen street, portion of which will be used for the board’s office. The site cost £71,600. —Press Association. Owing to motor-omnibus competition the tramway service in Dumbarton, Scotland, has ceased to operate. The company was incorporated in 1907, with a capital of £230,000. No dividend has been paid since 1922.
