“ARCHIE” CONCLUDES
A POPULAR COMPANY. Before an enthusiastic audience the London Musical Comedy Company made its second appearance with “Archie” last night. The first performance left the public of Invercargill highly delighted and the second audience, though smaller in numbers, was no less appreciative. Miss Elsie Prince from her initial appearance made an instant appeal, while Mr Jimmy Godden has long been recognized as a king among comedians and was welcomed accordingly. The supporting cast was scarcely Jess enthusiastically received. The music of the comedy and the spectacular effects lost nothing in appreciation from last night’s audience and encores were demanded for every number. It is some time since such a popular company has played at the. Theatre and the people of this May Fair city are looking forward eagerly to the first performance of “Sunny” this evening.
