Hansen) sailed for Stewart Island at 6.15 a.m. yesterday for Halfmoon Bay after discharging 300 cases of frozen fish. The cutter Comet (W. Bailey) sailed for Ruapuhe at 9.50 a.m. yesterday after discharging a full load of flax fibre. The ss. Opihi which arrived from Westport on Sunday with 600 tons of coal completed discharging yesterday and sailed for Port Craig at 3.45 a.m. to load timber for northern ports. The s.s. Calm, which arrived from Wanganui and way ports on Sunday evening completed discharge of 150 tons of general cargo yesterday. She loaded 250 tons of grain, etc., and sailed at 2.20 p.m. for Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui. She was delayed somewhat owing to the scarcity of labour the usual gangs being employed with the M.V. Zealandic and the Kurow’. A paragraph which appeared in these columns yesterday morning concerning the condemnation of the Otago Harbour Board’s dredge conveyed a wrong impression. It should be noted that it is the Otago Harbour Board’s vessel and not that of the Bluff Harbour Board. According to advice from the Union Shipping Co., the Kurow sails for Dunedin at noon to-day The Kaituna which left Dunedin last evening for Bluff, sails on Thursday for Wellington. The Hurunui is expected to leave Dunedin on Thursday for Bluff, arriving at noon on Friday and sailing about the 24th. Loading a full cargo of gJano at Walpole Island early in June, the Kanna is due at Bluff about June 20. The Opihi is scheduled to load at Westport about the 21st inst. for Bluff and Dunedin, due here about the 25th. The Oreti loads at Dunedin on Friday and is due back at Invercargill on Saturday leaving for Port Craig on Sunday. Messrs H. L. Tapley report that the Calm is due back on about the 27th inst. to load for the usual ports. The Waikawa which has been loading at Los Angeles, Vancouver and San Francisco for New Zealand ports is due at Bluff on June 23. The Northumberland from London is due at Bl iff early in July.

The Canadian Challenger left Montreal on May 1 with Canadian cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The vessel is due at Auckland about June 10, and at Bluff about June 25.

The Union Shipping Co. advise that the Manuka left Wellington on Saturday for Melbourne, leaving there on the 23rd for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. After leaving here on June 2 she returns to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin and then withdraws for her annual survey. She resumes at Dunedin on July 11, sailing that day for Melbourne via Wellington.

No alteration has as yet been advised in the itinerary of the motor vessel Taranaki which is scheduled to leave London on Friday being expected at Bluff towards the end of June.

The Raranga loads at Wellington on the 26th taking Bluff cargo by coastal transhipment for New York Boston and London.

Messrs Henderson and Co. announce that the Port Sydney from Australian ports is due at Bluff on June 11 to load refrigerated and general cargo for London and that the Port Curtis is also due on the same day to discharge general cargo from London and New York, afterwards loading for London and West Coast of the United Kingdom ports. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s motor vessel Zealandic sailed last evening from Bluff at 10.15 for Wellington and Auckland to complete loading for Home ports. She took 1800 carcases mutton, 8000 crates cheese and a large quantity of beef and wool from Bluff.

TRANSPACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. The Union Steamship Company advise the following movements of transpacific cargo steamers: —

Waikawa, clears San Francisco Sunday next for Los Angeles to complete loading for Apia, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and New Plymouth.

Hauraki, from Sydney, via Suva and Honolulu, due Vancouver last Saturday. Proceeds thence Powell River, Union Bay, Ocean Falls and San Francisco to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. Clears San Francisco June 1.

Waitemata, from Sydney, via Suva, due Vancouver May 23. Proceeds thence San Francisco and Los Angeles to complete loading for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

Waihemo, cleared Sydney yesterday for Vancouver and San Francisco, via Fiji, to load for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. Due Suva May 22.

Wairuna, from San Francisco, via Auckland, due Wellington last Saturday. Proceeded on Monday to Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney to complete discharge. Due Melbourne 21 instant.

Waiotapu, left Los Angeles Sunday, May 6, for Papeete thence Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. Due Papeete May 21, and Auckland, June 1. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follows:
