CORRUPTION ALLEGED
SYDNEY POLITICAL SCANDAL. Sydney, May 14. Mr A. Roberts, one of the scrutineers for Labour’s Senate pre-election ballot, made sensational allegations of Irregularities and corrupt practices associated with the ballot, including tampering with large numbers of ballot papers and rejection of perfectly valid papers, the object being to slaughter the moderates at the instigation of the “Reds.” Mr Roberts, who has resigned, has made the facts public. He declares that Labour supporters should know how their votes for . Senate candidates were being manipulated. He calls for an investigation.—Australian Press Association.
