Discussing the plan presented to the House of Commons by Agnes McPhail, a Progressive member, for the creation of a Department of International Peace, the Premier, Mr King, outlining the Government’s attitude towards peace, said that Canada was closely identified with the League of Nations. She was taking the lead for a better international understanding. The action of the Government, in establishing a 'Legation at Washington was another step towards international, goodwill and understanding.
