Mataroa, indefinite. Hororata, indefinite. GENERAL NOTES. The Manuka got away at 9.20 o’clock last evening for Dunedin. There was a stiff gale blowing from the north. During the evening she had loaded 850 cases of fish for Melbour. . The Manuka berthed at Bluff about midnight on Sunday with a large list of passengers and 45 tons of general cargo to discharge. She got away for Dunedin yesterday afternoon and will proceed to Melbourne via Lyttelton and Wellington. Heavy rain suspended unloading operations on the Poolta yesterday for some hours. She is expected to get away for Greymouth to-day after discharging about 1000 tons of coal. The Calm, so Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise, is expected to arrive at Bluff on Friday. The Union Steamship Co. report that the Waikawa leaves for Port Chalmers to-day. The Waikouaiti is due from Hobart this evening. The Opihi loads at Westport about Saturday next for Bluff and Dunedin. The Manuka is scheduled to leave Wellington on Saturday next for Melbourne. The Piako is expected to arrive on April 3, sailing on the Bth for America and London. Messrs D. W’. McKay, Ltd., report that the Kotare will sail on April 4 on her final trip to the Sounds. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. advise that the Pakeha is due on Thursday next when she will load meat, dairy produce and general cargo for the United Kingdom. It is now reported that the Herminius will call at Port Chalmers and then proceed to Bluff, arriving on the 31st and sailing afterwards for Wellington. The Somerset is expected to arrive at Bluff on April 14. The Northumberland is expected to leave Liverpool for New Zealand ports on May
