OBITUARY

DEAN PETER REGNAULT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, January 26. The death occurred to-night at the age of 72 years of Dean Peter Regnault, Proculator of the Marist Order of Australasia. He was born in Brittany and came to New Zealand in 1886. For seven years he was provincial of that Order, and was one of the most eminent Roman Catholic Churchmen in Australia. He had been ailing for some months. Deceased was held in the highest esteem by members of all denominations. He was responsible for building many churches in New Zealand and did good work in connection with the lepers of Makogai Island.
