LATVIAN COMMUNISTS

TWENTY SENT TO GAOL. Riga, January 24. The trial has concluded of 20 Latvian Communists, who were charged with attempting to overthrow the present regime and establish a Communist dictatorship. Five were sentenced to penal servitude for five years, while 15 were sentenced for terms from two to four years’ imprisonment. The remainder w’ere acquitted.—A. and N.Z.
