BANKRUPT SOLICITOR

BEST CLIENTS STRIKE BAD TIMES. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 9. At a meeting of creditors of Herbert Kirk McDougall, a solicitor, bankrupt said he owel £9Ol to unsecured and £1092 to secured creditors, against which were securities valued at £1682. McDougall said that unfortunately the farming community, with which he was principally associated, had struck bad times, and many of his best clients, through financial reverses, were unable to give him the volume of business he had hitherto enjoyed. It was decided that the estate be left in the hands of the Official Assignee to wind up in the best way possible, and to consult the Crown Solicitor where necessary.
