CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE CONFERENCE. INTERNATIONAL MEETING AT STOCKHOLM. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Stockholm, July 1. Hie International Chambers of Commerce Congress unanimously adopted a resolution which advocated lowering tariff barriers, the more equitable treatment of foreigners and an examination of import and export prohibitions. Sir Arthur Salter, director of the Economic and finance section of the League of Nations, in an address on “how best to derive practical results from the Economic Conference,” said the League asked to be pushed, above all it wanted that commercial push of official forces, without which the League could not advance. The Belgian, Czecho-Slovakian and Gorman support was most encouraging.—A. and Z.N.
