SATISFACTION IN UNITED STATES.
(Rec. 7.5 p.m.) New York, June 30. The New York Times Washington correspondent states that Mr Kellogg expressed satisfaction with the British announcement relative t® naval parity with America. There is an apparent feeling in official circles that the announcement augured well for the future of the conference, and it is felt here that the British officials consider that cordial relations between two Englishspeaking countries of far greater importance than any issue wrapped in naval tonnages. It is also recognised that they are keenly desirous that the conference prove successful.—A. and N.Z.
PROVISIONAL AGREEMENT ON DESTROYERS. (Rec. 7.35 p.m.) Geneva, July 1. It is understood that a provisional agreement has been reached for the future construction of destroyers and similar craft, whereby the first category is to be limited to fifteen hundred tons and speed to twenty knots, with an age limit of fifteen years.—A. and N.Z.
