PASSAGE THROUGH SUEZ CANAL. Rugby, June 14. The Renown, with the Duke and Duchess of York on board, passed through the Suez Canal to-day. The High Commissioner in Egypt, Lord Lloyd, went on board to greet the Royal tourists, and remained during the passage through the Bitter Lake section of the Canal.—British Official Wireless. DUKE INSPECTS SOMERSET LIGHT INFANTRY. (Rec. 7.5 p.m.) Cairo, June 14. The Renown arrived at Port Said. While steaming through the canal, Lord Lloyd paid an official visit to the Duke, and the Duke landed at Ismalia and paid a visit to a battalion of the Somerset Light Infantry stationed there.
