GENERAL NOTES. The Pacific Transport left yesterday morning for Westport, and thence to Makatea. The ketch Britannia arrived yesterday morning with 120 cases of fish. The Theresa Ward left for Stewart Island at 10.30 a.m. with about 25 passengers. She returned in the evening. The An am ba' is expected to arrive on Saturday with case oil. The Calm, which was scheduled to arrive at Bluff from Wellington on Friday, has been delayed and will not reach here until .Monday. She will probably sail the following evening for Dunedin, Wellington and Wanganui. Messrs Henderson and Company advise that the Port Hardy will arrive at Bluff on Sunday. She will load for New York, Boston and London. The Kartigi is expected to arrive at Bluff to-day. She will load 400,000 feet of timber and general cargo, sailing on Saturday evening for Melbourne direct. The Waikouaiti, which left Sydney on Tuesday, is due at Bluff on Sunday next. She is scheduled to sail the following evening for Dunedin, Lyttelton, Timaru and Bluff. The Karetu is expected to leave Sydney on June 20 for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Bluff, being due here about July 1. After taking on general cargo she will sail for Sydney direct. The Kurow was expected to leave Auckland yesterday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Huntingdon, from Liverpool, via Auckland and Wellington, was expected at Lyttelton yesterday. She will proceed to Port Chalmers and Bluff to complete discharge. The Waihemo, which left San Francisco on June 4 for New Zealand ports, including Bluff, is due at Wellington on June 30. She then proceeds to Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff, being due here about July 10. The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Khartoum, which left Auckland on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin to continue discharging general cargo from New York, is due at Bluff about June 23. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. I The following movements of trans-Pacific cargo steamers are announced:— The Waiotapu, which left Wellington on 1 the 3rd inst. for Melbourne and Sydney, was due at Melbourne on the 9th inst, and sails again on the 14th inst for Sydney. The Hauraki left San Francisco May 27 [ for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide and Syd- ; ney. Due at Auckland June 18. The Waihemo left San Francisco June 4 I for Apia, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. Due Apia June 21 and at Wellington June 1 30. The Waitemata is expected to leave Ocean Falls on the 10th inst for San Francisco direct. Expected to clear San Francisco about June 19. The Wairuna leaves Sydney June 14 for Fiji, Vancouver and San Francisco. FORWARD LOADING DATES. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follows: The Waitemata loads at Vancouver and San Francisco during the present month for Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. The W’airuna loads at Vancouver and San Francisco in July for Papeete, Auckland (possibly Wellington), Melbourne and Sydney. The Waiotapu loads at Vancouver and San Francisco in August for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Hauraki loads at Vancouver and San Francisco late August and early September for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waihemo loads at Vancouver and San Francisco late September and early October for New Zealand and Australian ports. FATE OF THE WANAKA. After being for three months in the hands of the shipbreakera the ex-Union Company steamer Wanaka was berthed at King’s wharf, Auckland, last week, to have all her salvaged fittings landed. The work will occupy about three days and the shell of the vessel will then be disposed of. The Wanaka was recently offered to the Navy Department as a target to be sunk by gunfire, but owing to the fact that two of the warships are at present in the Islands the offer was declined.
