MANAWATU AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. PRESENTATION TO JAMITO. Palmerston North, June 15. The Manawatu Amateur Boxing Championships concluded to-night with some good i bouts.

The following are the. results: Fly weight: S. Gray (Wanganui); Bantam: J. Evans (Levin); Lightweight: Gray (Wanganui); Welter: B. O’Keefe (Palmerston North); Light Heavy: B. Meads (Bulls). R. Forward (Wanganui) won the final of the feather by default from Lunn (Palmerston North). Jamito gave an exhibition spar and the crowd took up a collection which was handed to him uncounted. Mr. Merton, president of the association, made eulogistic reference to Jamito, who fought twice in Palmerston North, each time for charity.
