SOUTHLAND ASSOCIATION. TEAM TO MEET CANADIANS SELECTED The usual weekly meeting of the executive of the Southland Football Association was held in the Y.M.CA.. rooms last evening. There was a large attendance of delegates, Mr B. J. Glancefield presiding. Representatives of Wednesday teams were present and advised that two teams had been formed and a practice match would be played at the Showgrounds on Wednesday (to-day) at 2.30. It was also stated that four teams would be available in a few weeks’ time and the association would offer a cup for competition. It was decided that the Southland team which had been selected to play against the Canadians would proceed to Mataura on Saturday to play an exhibition game against a local eleven. Mr Henshelwood was appointed to act as manager. The team and reserves will meet at 1 o’clock at the H.B. corner. A friendly game between members of the various clubs will be played at the Showgrounds on Saturday at 2.30. Mr Guthrie was appointed referee. SOUTHLAND TEAM. The following were selected to represent Southland against the Canadian touring team at Invercargill on June 29: Goal.—D. Hill (Invercargill). Right full-back.—R. Maxwell (Rangers). Left full-back.—A. Cathcart (Corinthians). Right half.—C. Drysdale (Rangers). Centre half. —H. Campbell (Invercargill). Left half.—W. McKay (Corinthians). Outside right.—W. Reddington (Invercargill). Inside right.—R. Smith (Invercargill). Centre forward.—S. Todd (Mataura). Inside left.—W. Greaves (Invercargill). Outside left.—W. Dimmock (Corinthians). Reserves: —B. Scandrett (Rangers) ; G. Pinkney (Invercargill); G. Cullen (Mataura); J. McMurdo (Corinthians). OTAGO’S TEAM. The following players have been selected by Messrs McCallum, Fullarton, and Ruddiman to represent Otago against the Canadians on June 22: Goal.—Callaghan (Maori Hill). Backs.—Braithwaite (Mornington), Anderson (Seacliff). Halves. —Cooper (Seacliff), Scoular (Northern), Munsie (Northern). Forwards. —Duncan (High School Old Boys), McHugh (Northern), Hooper (Seacliff), McCormack (Northern), Balk (Maori Hill). Reserves.—Full-back, Coates (Northern); half, Thompson (Maori Hill). CANTERBURY TEAM. The following players have been selected to represent Canterbury in the match with Canada, to be played next Saturday:— Goal: J. McDougall. Backs: F. Graham and J. Muscroft. Halves—S. Muirson, G. Roberts, and J. Dryden. Forwards: J. C. Harbutt, F. Isles, E. Phelps, T. Nelson, G. Duncan. Reserves: Back, H. Johnson; half, W. Whittington; forward, C. McDougall. (J.
