Halo Dance Wigs

(From Our Correspondent). London. Dance girls are wearing wigs this season, not with fancy dress, but with ordinary evening attire, and the newest form is one which fits like a golden halo round the head. Made from finest gold wire, this wig is very light, and makes a delightful and decorative change from the silver and I pastel-coloured silk wigs which have lately • been in favour. The shape of the wig suits ' the modern girl’s face surprisingly well, and I can be worn equally happily over a shingled head or over long hair dressed close to the head. Some of the new gold wire wigs are made purely on the halo principle, fitting closely to the wearer’s head at the back and front, with a nearly circular or outstanding “halo.” Such a wig requires to be worn with a very carefully chosen dance frock, and looks best with a straight gown of golden tissue. At other times the golden wig takes the form of a sort of horseshoe, fitting round the head and coming to a sharp point in the nape of the neck. At the front it fits becomingly over the forehead.
