NEW THEATRE
A DUNEDIN VENTURE. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 13. Within a few weeks the construction will commence of a theatre for pictures and vaudeville on a site at the Octagon, which has been purchased for £35,000. The theatre will accommodate about 1,700 people. The company, which includes a J. C. Williamson subscription of £22,000 and a syndicate of £24,000, will spend between £40,000 and £50,000 on the theatre, which will be on the lines of the De Luxe in Wellington.
