TWO MEN BURNED TO DEATH. Canberra, June 13. A fire which occurred in a canvas tent at Northbourne camp, near Ainslie resulted in two men, Samuel Palmer and Alexander Beveridge, being burned to death. The men had been cooking a meal over a large fire in the tent and were unable to escape when the structure caught fire.—A. and N.Z. FIRE IN WHOLESALE DRUGGIST STORE. Brisbane, June 13. Fire in the premises of Bickford and Sons, wholesale druggists and general merchants, in Tank Street, caused damage estimated at many thousands of pounds.—A. and N.Z.
