MEETING OF ADVANCEMENT LEAGUE. (Per United Press Association.) Taumarunui, June 10. Meetings of the Timber Industry Advancement League at Manunui, Raurimu and Taringamotu, strongly supported the following resolution passed and the secretary was instructed to forward it to the Premier: “That the Taumarunui branch of the Timber Industry League, asks the Government to shut out foreign butter boxes and cheese crates and appreciates the action of Messrs Ellis and Burnand in giving their strawberry basket manufacture over to the Blind Institute, but deplores the fact that our Government allows the American basket to compete with the blind New Zealanders.’ ”
