MAN IMPRISONED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 10. The opinion that the imposition of terms of imprisonment is the only effective means of checking the increasing number of cases of unlawful conversion of cars and expressed by Mr Riddell to-day, hearing a charge against John Robert Rae, a labourer, who had taken and damaged a car to the extent of £5. The case against three others who were occupants was dismissed on the statement that they did not know the car was stolen. Kae got fourtenn days.
