The Union Steam Ship Company’s steamer Karetu completed loading and sailed for Sydney direct at 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Union Steam Ship Company's st continued her voyage to Dunedin yesterday at 3.20 p.m. There will be very little movement in Bluff so far as shipping is concerned for some days. The next intercolonial boat due is the Kaituna, which should arrive about June 13. A number of coastal and overseas boats are expected shortly after the Kaituna, including the Port Hardy, City of Khartoum, Huntingdon and Tongariro. The Moeraki is scheduled to sail from Wellington on Tuesday next for Melbourne. The City of Khartoum is now expected at Bluff about June 23 from New York, via northern ports. The Federal Line steamer Huntingdon will arrive at Bluff about June 20 to discharge 1,300 tons of general cargo from Liverpool. The Huntingdon is at present engaged in discharging 5,000 tons of cargo at Wellington. A cable from Balboa states that the lonic has sailed in continuation of her voyage from London to New Zealand ports. She is due here about July 10. The Port Hardy, due at Bluff to load refrigerated and general cargo for Boston, New York and London, is now expected to arrive about the 19th inst. H.M.S. Dunedin, which is refitting in England, is to leave Sheerness to-day for Auckland. She is due at the northern port on July 31. The Sussex was expected to leave Sydney on Wednesday for Newcastle to load coal for Java. She will afterwards go to Calcutta to load for New’ Zealand ports. The Port Auckland is scheduled to sail from Wanganui roadstead on June 15 for London, via Cape Horn. Fast time is being made by the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s new motorship Port Fremantle, en route to Australia. The vessel left London on April 30 and passed the Cape of Good Hope on the eighteenth day out. Her average daily mileage thus works out at 339. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rimutaka is scheduled to leave London to-day with general cargo for discharge at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. STEAMERS SOLD. The sale is reported of the steamers, Port Lincoln and Port Macquarie, to R. J. Thomas and Co., of Anglesey, to be used in future for trading between Britain and South Africa. FEDERAL STEAMERS. Messrs J. G. Ward and Company advise the following projected sailings from Liverpool of Federal steamers engaged in the New Zealand trade:— Westmoreland.—Sails on July 9 for Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Somerset.—Sails on July 23 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. Kent. —Sails on August 6 for Auckland, Wellingt/Jn, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. Additional sailings are as follows:—Cumberland, September 17; Hertford, October 1; Huntingdon, October 29; Tekoa, November 12; steamer, November 26; Cambridge, December 24. SEVERAL STEAMERS SOLD. The shelter-deck steamers, Amblestone, Conistone, Rochdale, Overstone and Snowdon, built in 1924, aggregating about 39,410 tons deadweight, and owned by Charles Radcliffe, Ltd. (Messrs Charles Radcliffe and Co., managers), Cardiff, have been purchased by Haldin and Co., Ltd., London, on behalf of the Court Line, Ltd., and United British Steamship Company, Ltd., for £316,000.. or practically £8 per ton deadweight. The Overstone and Snowdon have since been resold to Messrs Turnbull, Scott and Co., London, at about the same figure per ton. The Amblestone and Rochdale were recently in Australia loading wheat outwards, the Rochdale leaving Fremantle on April 30. The Norwegian steamer Hallgrim, which left Melbourne on February 9 for the United Kingdom and the Continent, with a full cargo of wheat, has been sold , for about £52,500. She is of 6,630 tons
