HALF-HOLIDAY POLL. DUAL VOTING ALLEGED. PETITION TO GO FORWARD. It is understood that a petition to upset the voting on the half-holiday question is now in course of preparation, several well-known business men having attached their signature thereto during the last day or two. The instigators of the proceedings stat® that between 80 and 100 electors exertnsed a dual vote on this issue, and they contend that this is illegal. It is recognised that a Magisterial recount will not meet the case, but hopes are entertained that another vote will he taken if the Magistrate decides that there been irregularity in the proceedings.
