RECORD ROBBERIES

MASTER THIEF’S MEMORY. London, April 6. Josef Barbee, on trial for theft, enter tained the court with a recital of his 2000 robberies during seven years, claiming a world’s record, says a message from Breslau. He complained that the judge was confusing his 640th crime with the 936th, and indignantly denied that he kept a diary, contending that a faultless memory was essential to a master thief.—Sun Special.
