BAUMAN’S BLUNDER

PROSECUTIONS FOLLOW. FIVE PERSONS IMPLICATED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 6. A barman at the White Swan Hotel, Daniel Graham, who thought that so long as men had meals on the premises he was entitled to supply them with liquor, was to-day fined £3 in respect of an offence on Good Friday. A similar penalty was imposed on the lecensee, Nicholas Milligan, though, said the Magistrate, it was clear that the barman acted without Milligan’s authority. The three men concerned, Sydney Robin Salmon, Alexander Morrice Smith, and Allan Patrick McGath were each fined £1 for being illegally on premises.
