“PECK’S” FOR THE HOLIDAYS. When you plan excursions necessitating an outdoor lunch, you need a jar of Peck’s Salmon and Shrimp Paste. An appetising delicacy that no picnic party should be without. Convenient, satisfying, and will keep in any climate. A little goes a long way, because of its delightful flavour. British and best. All grocers.—(advt.)
It is understood (says the Greymouth Star) that there is a possibility in the near future of some of the smaller mills on the West Coast being worked on a co-operative basis, which system has proved successful in most of the co-operative coal-mining ventures on the West Coast. The Aratika Company’s sawmill will change hands at the end of this month, when the mill will be worked by a party of contractors.
