BLUFF NOTES

(From Our Correspondent.) The harvest festival of the Bluff Presbyterian Church was begun on Sunday, when special services were preached by the Rev. S. Waddell to large congregations, and special music was rendered by the choir. The church was beautifully decorated with fruits and flowers and other bounties of Nature. On Monday evening a sale was held in the Willard Hall and a musical entertainment provided. Stalls for the sale of work, produce, cakes, and lollies were presided over by ladies of the church. The Rev. S. Waddell occupied the chair, and songs were given by Misses Elsie Preston, Maxwell, I. Hutton, Mrs Robjohns and Mr J. G. Imlay. Recitation by Miss Sligo, monologues by Miss Kirkpatrick, pianoforte duets by Mr and Miss Bradshaw and Mr Steadman and Miss M. McKenzie. Mr Gordon Reed also played some Hawaiian melodies on the steel guitar; altogether the concert proved to be most enjoyable and the items were cordially received by the audience, which carried a vote of thanks at the close.
