COURT OF APPEAL
LAW SOCIETY CASES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 17. The Court of Appeal dealt with cases of the Law Society v. Wilfred Alexander Black and John Munro Gillies. Mr Von Haast appeared for the Law Society and Mr Perry for Black. Gillies was not represented. The case of Black was adjourned until March 23 pending the arrival of ■affidavits from Auckland. The facts alleged in Gillies’ case were that he failed to keep his trust account in order and received altogether a sum of over £5OO for his own use, being trust moneys. In one instance Gillies took over the work for one Benn from Messrs Irwin and Irwin and collected £176 8/11 which Benn instructed him to return to Irwin and Irwin. This was not done though Gillies stated he had done so. Gillies was struck off the rolls of the Law Society and ordered to pay £l5 15/- costs.
