FREEZING WORKS

UNION MEETING AT MASTERTON. EMPLOYMENT ACCEPTED. (Per United Press Association.) Masterton, December 4. At a meeting of the local Freezing Workers’ Union last evening it was decided to accept employment on the terms agreed upon at the Wellington Conference. WORK TO COMMENCE AT HASTINGS. Hastings, December 4. The freezing workers, acting on official instructions, commence work on Monday morning. WAINGAWA WORKS IN FULL SWING. Masterton, December 5. Twenty-three Unionist slaughtermen commenced at the Waingawa Freezing Works on Saturday morning and the volunteer butchers who wished to continue were kept on. A corresponding number of labouring hands also reported for work. The management reports that everything is back to normal*
