LAND IN SYDNEY
BIG AMERICAN CLAIM. ALLEGED ROYAL GRANT. San Francisco, December 3. Ten grandchildren of Robert Paton, who allege Paton was granted 160 acres of land in 1835 in what is now part of Sydney, have commissioned lawyers to establish their heirship to the property, which is now estimated to be worth 30,000,000 dollars. Paton’s heirs claim he was given a Royal grant in recognition of his invention of a method of ridding Sydney harbour of dangerous rocks. Eight grandchildren live in California, and two —J. G.
