EMPIRE BROADCASTING
ENABLING PREMIERS TO SPEAK TO LONDON. A REMARKABLE SCHEME London, October 31. Sir Arthur Stanley and Professor Low re circularising members of the House of Jommons suggesting that the British Broadcasting Company’s accumulated fund of £900.000 be spent on the development of Imperial broadcasting. Professor Low interviewed said: "We do not suggest the constitution of an Imperial Parliament with members for the dominions participating in debates by means of loud speakers, though that may come, but urge the immediate investigation of means of enabling dominions’ Prime Ministers to speak direct to London and generally linking up overseas activities so that crystal set users can hear the wheels of the Empire revolving.”—Sun Cable.
