FEARS FOR SAFETY
TELEGRAPH OPERATOR MISSING. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 29. Percival Bardsley, a telegraph operator, who arrived in Christchurch on October 24 on his way from Wellington to Dunedin, is missing, and anxiety is felt for his safety. Bardsley left his luggage at the Christchurch railway station on Sunday morning and as he did not return for it inquiries were made concerning his whereabouts, but they failed to locate him. The matter has been placed in the hands of the police.
